about

Mainliner was in existence from 1991-1995. The band was started when we were in high school. We played countless fire halls and VFWs because we had nowhere to play. We were discouraged from the very beginning and told that punk was dead in 1991. We didn’t care. We set up hall shows on our own and found bands within 2 hours of us that we could trade shows with. It gave us something to do and other bored kids starting showing up too. Plenty of crazy nights and plenty of nights playing to no one. Members splintered off into the Prostitutes and the Disappointments around mid 95. A 3-song 7” entitled Rock n Roll Animal was released in 1994 followed by a mini tour with FYP.

The remasters are taken from the original 1st generation cassette. We were always broke and rented reels so the demo cassettes we sold are all that’s left. Special thanks to Rock n Roll Manifesto and Rob Sheley for providing the raw tapes.
